Beyonce (pictured) has finally confirmed that she will be performing at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
Speculation had been rife for weeks, with organisers of the event refusing to confirm.
The Single Ladies singer took it upon herself to break the news, telling Billboard; “This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there. Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend. I’m pumped just thinking about that huge audience and soaking up their energy.”
Her presence at the Somerset based festival sees her follow in the footsteps of husband Jay-Z, who headlined in 2008.
Along with Beyonce, who will be closing the festival with an hour and a half long performance on Sunday June 26th, Coldplay and U2 are also scheduled to headline.
