Since coming third in last year’s X-Factor competition One Direction have been lying low.

But with behind the scenes training Harry, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis are now primed for a chart takeover.

And in spite of not yet having released an album, or indeed a single, a One Direction autobiography comes out today, entitled Forever Young.  Given their age, and lack of biography to speak of, it seems an appropriate, if somewhat ambitious, title.

The boys will be out in force, and armed with ink, signing fan copies of Forever Young up and down the country.

That’s certainly one way to keep their army of fans enthused. And with their debut single imminent, we expect an onslaught of One Direction merchandise to follow.

Yes, as far as bigwig manager Simon Cowell is concerned there is only One Direction.

Top tip: If you’re not a fan, you’d best keep the radio switched off this summer…
